After the open access journal PLoS ONE being indexed by Web of Science at the begin of 2010, PLoS ONE will harvest a full report of citation metrics from 2009 Journal Citation Reports®, although PLoS Says NO to journal impact factor and “focus efforts on more sophisticated, flexible and meaningful measures”.
Nevertheless, its journal impact factor will be available in June 2010.
The rough estimate of PLoS ONE impact factor is 5-7. Wait and See!
UPDATED:
Finally, the latest impact factor for PLoS One is released out with 4.351, a bit far from the earlier estimate.
Cheers!
PLoS One is one of the best journal as it published ” Out of box” ideas which the conventional journals fail to accept.
I am waiting eagerly for the release of impact factor for PLoS One
I don’t think so. Plos One publishes such a huge number of papers every month. I assume that it may have a impact factor around 2.
Can you bet with me? PLOS one at least can get 5.
It’s public!
Plos ONE IF= 4.351
You got it. Good performance.
Look at the website of Web of Science, the impact factor of plos one will be around 5
I worry about the IF of PLoS One, although some excellent papers were published.
4.351
PLoS ONE Impact Factor // Jun 19, 2010 at 12:25 am
[...] PLoS ONE Impact Factor 4.351, [...]
PLoS One was always great and will remain so! now it has a feather in its cap with a Wooping starting IF of 4.351!
We all PLoS One publishers are very proud that we never cared for the IF and kept publishing!
However I knew that it will be 4-5
I think the impact factor will be much lower next year. It is because Plos One published more and more papers year by year!
Please send me the list of journals having high impact factors in the fields of Neuroendocrinology, behavior, Ageing etc.
Regards,
Dr. Mukul Kanti Manna
Please kindly let me know the impact factor the Tukish journal of Chemistry.
